Video auditions now open for the 2027 Arabian Nights Showcase at the Riverside County Fair & National Date Festival
INDIO, Calif. — Riverside County school performing arts programs have the opportunity to take the stage at one of the region’s most celebrated traditions — and receive a $10,000 grant for their school’s performing arts program.
The 79th annual Riverside County Fair & National Date Festival presented by Fantasy Springs Resort Casino is continuing the tradition of the annual Date Pageant into 2027 with the Arabian Nights Showcase, inviting student performers to bring their own interpretation of the tales of 1,001 Nights to life.
Dance. Theater. Music. Storytelling. Or a combination of them all.
School performing arts groups are encouraged to submit a video audition showcasing their creativity and talent.
One group will be selected to perform their interpretation of California’s second-longest running outdoor play on the City of Indio Celebration Stage during closing weekend of the 2027 Fair & Date Fest and receive a $10,000 grant for its performing arts program.
Video auditions are due December 4, 2026.
Know a school group that belongs on that stage? Share this opportunity with them.
