The tradition of the Date Pageant continues with the Arabian Nights Showcase, giving local school performing arts programs the opportunity to bring the magic of Arabian Nights to life on the Celebration Stage at the 2027 Riverside County Fair & National Date Festival presented by Fantasy Springs Casino.

We are inviting school performing arts groups to create a 20–30 minute performance inspired by the spirit, storytelling, and excitement of Arabian Nights. Performances may incorporate dance, music, theater, storytelling, or a combination of performing arts — we encourage groups to get creative and make the production their own!

Win $10,000 for Your Performing Arts Program!

One outstanding group will be selected as the 2027 Arabian Nights Showcase Grand Prize Winner and will receive a $10,000 grant for their performing arts program!

The winning group will also be invited to perform their production during Closing Weekend of the Fair and Date Fest, February 25–28, 2027, continuing a beloved Date Festival tradition while showcasing the incredible talent of our local students.

How to Participate

Interested groups should complete the Arabian Nights Showcase Interest Form to get started. After submitting the form, you will receive a confirmation email with additional program details, important dates, and information about the audition process.

A video audition is required and must be submitted by December 4, 2026. Your audition does not need to be a fully produced version of your final show, but should give us an opportunity to see your group and understand your vision for the performance.
