We are excited to once again invite Riverside County Kâ12 schools and homeschool students to experience the Riverside County Fair & National Date Festival presented by Fantasy Springs Resort Casino!
Our free Student Field Trips give students the opportunity to explore the Fair and Date Fest before regular Fair hours through a self-guided educational experience featuring agriculture, local history, STEM, exhibits, animals, and live entertainment.
Field Trips Include:
- Free admission for participating students and chaperones
- Free bus parking
- One free return admission for each student and chaperone to visit the Fair & Date Fest during regular operating hours
- Sands of Time Museum, featuring the Date Festival Museum and the Coachella Valley Model Railroaders exhibit
- Cave of Wonders, featuring gems and minerals and hosted by the San Gorgonio Mineral & Gem Society
- Hall of Ribbons, featuring Fine Arts, Photography, Student Entries, and interactive STEM activities
- Palm Pavilion, featuring dates, agriculture, and educational displays
- Livestock Barns, showcasing youth animal projects including goats, sheep, pigs, and cattle
- Scheduled shows and educational entertainment throughout the morning

Schools may explore the exhibits and activities at their own pace throughout their visit.
Lunches
Schools are encouraged to bring sack lunches for students and chaperones. We will provide a designated area to store lunches while your group explores the Fairgrounds. Groups will have an opportunity to pick up and enjoy their lunches during their visit.
Important to Know
Student Field Trips take place before the Fair & Date Fest opens to the general public, creating a more comfortable environment for students to explore and learn. Because the Fair is not yet open, food vendors, shopping vendors, and carnival rides will not be operating during the field trip.
Transportation to and from the Fairgrounds is not provided.
Each participating student and chaperone will receive a complimentary return admission ticket to experience the Riverside County Fair & National Date Festival during regular operating hours.
