Facilities Manager

We are currently searching for a qualified and reliable facilities manager to lead our maintenance department. As the facilities manager, you will be responsible for managing all installation, repair, and upkeep operations of our company’s facilities. Your duties will include maintaining buildings, planning repair activities, developing maintenance procedures, and overseeing seasonal employees in their custodial efforts.

Our ideal candidate will demonstrate a good understanding of building maintenance and landscaping, as well as outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:

● Source and coordinate outside vendors for specialty facility work
● Keep track of and report on employee activity
● Schedule and responsibly manage employee hours
● Plan and oversee all maintenance, repairs and custodial work
● Manage competing priorities and timelines within budget
● Proactively identify and resolve maintenance issues
● Ensure all employees adhere to best safety practices
● Coordinate setup, teardown, cleaning, and coverage for all events on the Fairgrounds

Qualifications:

● Experience in planning maintenance operations
● 3-5 years general maintenance experience
● 3-5 years property maintenance experience
● 1-3 years supervisory experience
● Good working knowledge and have the ability to perform basic maintenance services, such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry and general construction
● Ability to use and train others to use simple tools
● Excellent communication, both written and verbal
● Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
● Passion for helping others
● Ability to work occasional nights & weekends for events
● Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from work
● Bilingual in Spanish & English is a plus
● Forklift certification is a plus

Schedule:

8 hour shift; 40 hours a week; generally Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Will require some nights and weekends for events & fair. Weekdays will be granted off to accommodate weekend event work when possible. We request no vacation time be taken in January or February in preparation of the annual Riverside County Fair &
National Date Festival.

Experience:

Maintenance: 5 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

Driver's License (Preferred)
