Livestock Barn #4

The purpose of this category is to encourage exhibitors to include, with their exhibit, a brief educational display for fairgoers. The most effective way to educate the public is to talk to exhibitors, but it is our belief this division will invite and encourage questions creating an interest and understanding of what they are viewing in the livestock areas.

1. Prepared by the exhibitor only. One (1) entry per class per exhibitor.
2. Displays must be made on a Science Board.
3. Displays should enhance not obstruct the animals.
4. Displays are only judged once at the judge’s convenience.
5. 4H and FFA will be judged together.

Awards will be presented in two categories to FFA Chapter and 4-H Club which have the best-maintained livestock. All Clubs and Chapters will participate. We would like to encourage educating the public with your barn displays.

1. Barns should be staffed at all times from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm if there are enough members to do this.
2. If any members of an organization are going to remain on the grounds, there must be an adult supervisor at all times. A list of adults to contact in case of an emergency must be on file in the Livestock Office.
3. A committee selected by Fair Management will make barn inspections at unannounced times daily between the hours of 9:00 am and 8:00 pm.

All entries must be made online through ShoWorks. If you plan to make changes to your entries or need to leave ShoWorks at any time - SAVE YOUR CART before exiting out. Once you select PAY NOW your entry will be submitted and you will not be able to make changes to your cart online. Those needing assistance with online entries can visit the Main Office Wednesday, January 24, 2024 to Friday, January 26, 2024 10:00am - 5:00pm and Saturday, January 27 9:00am - 3:00pm. The Main Office is located in the Shalimar building at Gate 4 on Arabia Street.

PAYMENT

Online credit card payments are the only method to enter your exhibit and are due upon entry. Cash or check payments will not be accepted.
