Join us May 12, 2026 for the 21st Annual John J. Benoit Behavioral Health Arts Festival, a inspiring community event celebrating creativity, resilience, and the power of artistic expression.
Held in honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, this free event showcases the incredible talents of local artists and writers living with mental health diagnoses, alongside those who support them. Guests can explore a vibrant collection of artwork including paintings, drawings, jewelry, and more.
The festival also features a Creative Writing Contest and an Awards Ceremony at 12:30 PM.
Creative Writing Submissions
Writers may submit up to 5 pieces via email:

Each entry must include a title, your contact information, publication consent, and a designated award recipient if you are unable to attend.
How to Submit Artwork
Artists are invited to participate by submitting up to 5 pieces of artwork.
- Drop-Off Dates: May 4 – May 6, 2026
- Time: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (no late submissions accepted)
- Location: Indio Oasis Clinic, 47-825 Oasis Street, Indio, CA
Each piece must include a completed Art Registration Form (available below). A separate form is required for each artwork submitted.
All artwork must be picked up after the show on May 12. If you are unable to attend, you must designate a representative to handle awards and artwork pickup.
