Rules & Application

The Fair will provide the Building Blocks to be used to construct your creation. All Constructed Projects will remain on display until the Fair & Date Fest ends.

1. Pre-Registration is required on the Website: www.datefest.org/p/about/competitions.

2. Credentials will be left at WILL CALL for entrance into the Fair.

3. The Contest is live and will have 1 hour to complete.

4. Check-In starts at 10:00AM -12:30PM. The Contest will start at 1:30pm.

5. Your creation must be on a base no bigger than 24 by 24 inches. Your completed project may be no taller than 3 feet tall.

6. Open to ages 5yrs - 100 yrs. old.

7. Entries will be judged on the following criteria:

• General appearance and design

• Creativity

• Degree of difficulty.

001 – Adult 18yrs old - 100yrs old

002 – Teen 13yrs old - 17yrs. old

003 – Youth 10yrs old -12yrs. old

004 – Child 5yrs. old - 9yrs. old

RULES & GUILDELINES

1. Pre-Registration is required on the Website: www.datefest.org/p/about/competitions.

2. Fair Passes will be left at WILL CALL.

3. Entrants will need to provide half a dozen tamales to be judged.

4. Tamales need to be delivered on Saturday, February 24 to the Exhibits building by 12:00pm.

5. Bring tamales on a disposable platter.

6. Tamales must be prepared at home and delivered ready for judging.

7. Judging will start at 1:30pm.

8. Best Homemade Tamale winner will be announced at 4 p.m.

9. A minimum of one (1) ingredient must be showcased in each tamale (Dates)

10.This competition is to showcase the Best Tamale Maker in the Riverside County District.

11.Tamales must be from an original recipe. Each dish must have a recipe with the names of the

ingredients used. named, original, unpublished, and the sole property of the entrant.

JUDGING CRETERIA: Will be judged on Taste, texture, and Presentation.
